About Us.

We believe there’s nothing quite like the joy of singing in harmony

On a crisp August morning in 2015, a small group of friends gathered in a beer garden and founded a chorus — with the dream of sharing the music they loved with the world.

A decade on and now fifty strong, Meantime Chorus continues its mission to share the joy of a cappella and barbershop music with our audiences. We’ve performed for people all over the country, including in Brighton, Harrogate, Manchester and our home in London. By pushing our musical boundaries, we’ve won national competitions and established ourselves as a prominent chorus in the vocal ensemble scene.

Although we’ve grown a lot, some things have stayed the same — after every rehearsal, we’re still gathering in a beer garden, having a laugh, and sharing our love of singing.

Our Rehearsals.

Each rehearsal at Meantime is thoughtfully crafted to ensure that every member gets the most out of their experience.

The rehearsal is divided into several sections, each focusing on a different aspect of our musical journey. We start with vocal pedagogy, where members learn various theories and exercises to develop a sense of freedom and authenticity in their voice. Next, we move on to repertoire work, where we learn new songs and polish our existing repertoire. Finally, we have the storytelling section, where we explore the narrative behind our songs and bring them to life by connecting with our music on a personal level.

We rehearse every Thursday evening at Pimlico, London. Visitors are always welcome — whether you’d like to join us, collaborate, or book a barbershop quartet for your event. To find out more, contact us at the link below.
